It seems like they forced him to wrap things up at the end of the Area 7 arc. The pacing was fine up throughout Area 6; I remember being so hyped for a country of ghosts, soul swapping, and cooking tournament that would actually be completed. Then we cut to Teppei's escape from Neo and Midora's assault, and the pacing went downhill from there. We still don't know where NEWS even comes from, unlike EARTH and ATOM.

Can't agree with this - this series literally has only TWO story arcs. It's either the kids fighting between themselves somehow OR fighting a villain. Never anything else. As much as people like giving One Piece shit for reusing some ideas, MHA is the fucking top dog in that.

Not really, there's so much of them, the author kinda doesn't know how to make some of them stand out.
