Kaneki as a complete entity on the other hand doesn't give a shit about her romantically at all. Ishida has put a lot of work in displaying the similarities/connection Kaneki and Eto share since the first fucking chapter. Many might deny it but Kaneki was someone who wanted to destroy nothing but himself, while Eto wanted to destroy everything around here. Like two sides of the same coin.

Kaneki, throughout the entire series, has shown almost zero interest in Touka romantically-speaking. He cares for her deeply but none of that can automatically translate to him wanting to fuck her.

Touka on the other hand does want to fuck him since he resembles her father and this is clearly seen with her unnaturally craving his mc dick for four years straight after only a month of interaction with him at Anteiku.

Since the development of their relationship went down the shitter after the Aogiri arc, it would be better off if neither of them got together at this point. I wish it turned out better, but Ishida fucked it up.
