Madoka is incapable of feeling love to anyone, let alone her mentor. She simply used her for grief seeds and let her die against Walpurgisnacht. She knew all about Mami's insecurities and used them to manipulate her. Madoka is the sole reason Mami snapped after Sayaka turned into a witch (which was also Madoka's fault, by the way), and made sure that Mami killed Kyoko before she killed her. She's a spiteful bitch who tramples all over the other girls' feelings to ensure that she can become more powerful by accumulating karma every time Homura resets the timeline. She's utterly selfish to her "friends" and sees them as nothing more than pawns and slaves, yet Madoka is so skilled at maintaining the kind and noble facade that nobody thinks twice about her true nature.

Don't say such mean things about Madoka. She has had it bad enough, suffering at the hands of her abusive mother.
Yes, that's right. I think it's time we address the elephant in the room and admit how much of an unfit parent Junko really is. She frequently comes home drunk, and on school nights no less. Madoka often wakes up to her crashing around the house far past midnight and then does her best to guide her back to her bedroom.
Sadly, that could be considered a good night. Because on nights when Junko is actually coherent, Madoka has to be careful what she says, lest she upset her mother and get beaten by her. If Madoka ever raises her voice or talks back, Junko responds by slapping her quite hard. Madoka would have run away a long time ago, but she is too scared to leave her dearly beloved little brother, with that monster that is her mother.
One night, after one of Junko's abusive tirades, Madoka finally had enough and ran off into a stormy night to meet up with Homura... the only woman in her life that ever truly loved her.

If Junko knew how shitty her child truly was, she'd probably drink herself to death. Of course, Madoka is extremely insidious so Junko is none the wiser, believing her child to be an innocent goody-two-shoes. Junko works her ass off to provide for the family and still consistently offers emotional support, trying to lend her experience. Of course, Madoka is an ungrateful bitch and takes advantage of all this without giving her mother a second thought. You can be damn sure she would have conned her brother out of his inheritance and taken all of the family wealth for herself, but of course, she had much bigger plans in mind, that is, manipulating magical girls in order to become god.

You all seem to forget who the real bastard in all of this is.
Tomohisa just practically crams the alcohol down Junko's throat, then forces Madoka to deal with it. He just lazes around at home all day, and forces Junko to work double and triple shifts so they can pay their bills. He never offers to pick up any of the slack. He seems like a kind gentle man from the outside, but inside he is a devious divisive bastard and treats his wife like a slave.

Tomohisa and Junko never had relationship problems, but if they ever did, you can be damn sure Madoka would be behind it, playing them against each other, telling them lies behind each others' backs. It's just the sort of manipulation she constantly uses for selfish gain. Of course, she really has nothing to gain from her parents fighting, so she doesn't bother. They're lucky that Madoka doesn't use them as tools in her schemes.
