Say what you want but she's a great tsundere

Railgun helps establish that she's a nice and easygoing girl most of the time. She's a bit violent but in a competitive way, I initially thought she'd be Touma's rival rather than love interest because she was a tomboy and that's what let Kamachi establish her as a character in her own right rather than another "damsel-of-the-week". The fans loved her even though she was supposed to end up irrelevant like Himegame.

And it's nice to see that she makes this realization of her love over time, Touma being her first love really makes it seem more natural. As a childish girl and tomboy to boot she really was ignorant and confused about her own feelings.

Once she's realized her love she actively tries to ensure it's reciprocal. We root for her to overcome her tendencies and chase what she wants most.

That in itself is great character development alongside her relationships with the Clones and Misaki. Now if we can get that "chat" with Accelerator...

Tsundere threads used to be good and fun during golden era before a couple of autists in 2012 turned them into never-ending shitstorms. THK is the main offender and always does his best to shit them up because of his personal vendetta against tsundere in general. If other deres had someone like him, then they would faced similar quality of threads.
