It could go both ways. Homura has basically suffered for ages so should we get new material there's an equal chance that she gets a gigantic payoff and gets something super nice or that she continues to suffer.

The former doesn't really allow for more content, though, since this series heavily focuses on Homura's actions. If she has no reason to act anymore there's no series. So the safe bet is that she suffers more.

Flower field wasn't a misunderstanding, it's a reaffirmation of Homura's original wish.
Madoka doesn't want to leave her friends and family behind, but she will do it anyway because someone needs to do it. Similarly, she doesn't want to die, but she will gladly go to her death if it needs to be done. Does that mean that Homura was wrong to undo Madoka's death with her wish in the first timeline? Of course not.
But was Madoka wrong to sacrifice herself? No.

Homura and Madoka simply have irreconcilably different opinions about what is just and necessary vs. what is happiness. This is the core conflict of the entire story up to this point. All that's changed is the see-sawing of the power dynamic between them.
