Sorta. They made the pilot film in 1969, where I think they also intended to distribute it around Toho's theater circuit before they backed out due to the cost. This original version is known as the CinemaScope version.

They later recut it with a different voice cast for television. Thus, there are two versions of the pilot.

They're both kinda surreal in that the voice actors chosen to play Lupin in both versions have extremely deep voices. Then you've also got a semi case of reversed roles, Goro Naya voicing Goemon in the TV version and Chikao Ohtsuka playing Zenigata in the CinemaScope version.

There's specials and films. Secret of Mamo, Cagliostro, Fuma and Bohyou are pretty good. About the specials, Walther P-38, Seven Days Raphsody or Hemingway Papers are nice, and i personally love First Contact. Haven't watched everything yet though.
