When one thing overtakes another the victor gets changed as well. Even if Rock becomes a criminal he still has a sense of right and wrong and what's worth fighting for (more than just money).

I think what'll happen is Rock and Revy will change each other, Revy getting more of Rock's moral compass and Rock realizing that sometimes the world isn't fair and you just have to look out for yourself. That's how the real world is anyways, every few years or so you pretty much become a different person. It's especially apparent in relationships, where a couple going on 5 years is pretty too completely different people dating each other than when they first started.

I'm sure Tex-Mex won't botch it whatever he does, he's fleshed out Revy and Rock so well that I feel like he has a really strong empathetic bond to them, and will be able to kind of feel out where each character is going. Maybe they won't date at all if that's the kind of people they become.

Hiroe has never been consistent with Revy's hair color, from image to image it varies from light brown to reddish-brown to light red. He most commonly draws her hair as light brown though, probably because it's the simplest to shade. Remember, BL is published in black and white so he only draws Revy in color for artbooks and the like.

The anime consistently colors Revy's hair a dark, purplish red. When Hiroe does illustrations specifically for anime, he also uses this color scheme.

I always go with dubs, because I don't want to spend the whole show staring at the bottom of the screen reading what the characters are saying instead of actually watching the show and paying attention to what's going on. Plus its nice to be able to turn away for a moment and still be able to follow what the characters are saying.

I'll say it again. Hellsing Ultimate, Black Lagoon, Berserk 97, Ghost in the Shell SAC and Gankutsuou have the best dubs ever. Even better than the original japanese although it helps that the setting is western or western inspired.

This is just me, but I always see it ending so that Revy's lifestyle finally catches up with her, and she's ultimately gunned down and dies. Deep down she might have actually wanted to change and try living normally, but given her entire life and the baggage of shit she's carrying, she just can't bring herself to really turn around. So she decides to at least go out in style and dies protecting the one person who actually brought a little bit of decency and stability, and possibly even love, into her life. She dies knowing that she did at least one thing in life right.

Dutch and Benny close up shop and leave Roanapur. The event that got Revy killed possibly burned bridges so badly that staying is no longer an option.

Revy's death wakes Rock the fuck up, and he realizes that his days of larping this great criminal mastermind is over. At the end of the day, he was always in way over his head, no matter what, and the Lagoon crew's protection was the only reason he didn't get killed day 1. It takes Revy's death to make him see this. Rock returns to Japan, but he has manned up considerably following his experiences, and no longer allows himself to be trampled on by his society.
