The brainwash and the Doctor just like the majority of the show right now was pointless.
>Ruri’s subconsciousness crap came right the hell out of nowhere to give Shun a win when afterwards he constantly gets passed out and never addressed/seen again.

This was basically an excuse to get more villains when the previous ones were either a list of random no names(Sun/Moon Guardian, Solo), got converted to soon(Tyler Sisters, Edo, Dennis and mostly Sora), weren’t taken seriously enough until the final act/written out entirely(Yuri(who's been used as a running gag until now), Barret, Jean), and ones that had little to no buildup but the show would take great pains to make you think otherwise(BB).

The thread has been over multiple times how even vet seiyuu don't get paid much. It's a tiny itty bitty drop in the bucket compared to total production costs of an episode. If they were having trouble getting Hosoya, it would've been his schedule. Which I also doubt since it's not like he's been in a huge volume of shows the past 2-3 years on the same level as other known seiyuu.

Konami is a sponsor, but NAS and Shueisha have much more direct control over the anime's production you bimbo

Had we not have had the Friendship Cup dragging Synchro out to over a year rather than having it at roughly 13 episodes like Xyz and Fusion, Synchro would've been over by 66 and episode 92 in that case would be the final episode in the Fusion arc, going to the conclusion arc right after. Having Zarc revived in that situation if the show lasted 105 episodes sounds about right.

Moreover, since Astrograph's effect states that Zarc's dragon comes from the Extra Deck we know it's either a Fusion/Synchro/Xyz but not Pendulum because Leo invented that later. It doesn't make any sense for Zarc's dragon to be Fus/Synch/Xyz otherwise why would there be a constituent Material that's a dragon representing the summoning method? Let's see the others:

DM didn't follow the game rules and that supposed main plot was put aside for stupid things like a virtual world arc, the whole fanfic that was Noah's arc and then the atlantis thing.

GX is GX.

5D's probably had a chance, but the buyblackwings changed the final villain, the cult conspiracy retconned the evil organization and then they extended it for more 100 episodes of disappointment.

ZeXaL is a hit-or-miss with the audience (due to Yuma), however, as much as we have the Barian things, the story doesn't treat secondaries well, and takes like 75 episodes for us to reach the main plot. Sure, there are arclights and things like that, but the in-between is insanely boring.

Arc-V first 50 or so episodes are great. Synchro is full of fillers and Xyz and Fusion are rushed due to that, but it is still following the whole main plot. Introduces pretty great concepts. For all the hype there was a big disappointment, but even at that it surpasses the others.

Arc-V isn't my favorite series, but I still feel it was the best made one

Even the first 50 had some problems worth mentioning.

Like the pre MCS duels that were there to drag things out a bit longer before the real tourney started, while everything interesting about the early show was relegated to the very occasional Shun or Yuto episode.

There were some pacing issues with how it handled its more dramatic events, like how Sora vs Yuya in 49 was squished into 1/3 of an episode at 1.5x speed despite the duel being a major point for Sora's character. And then for some reason Yoko needs 2 episodes to make her point?

Yuto's egao flashback being constantly recycled, and that somewhat nonsensical sequence in battle royale where Yuya and Gongenzaka KNOW Yuzu's potentially in a lot of danger by Obelisk Force, but stall to have a long nap and breakfast before doing anything. Little problems like these are really minor next to the big fundamental ones, but they do start to add up.

And, in the big picture of things, Standard was only the precursor arc that hinged on the success of the subsequent parts 2 & 3. It wasn't like 5D's where it was obviously planned to be only 64 episodes from the start and tells a pretty complete story in that first part.

Looks like 5Ds managed to stay above the 2.0 mark for the majority of the Dark Signers arc, only taking dives at the beginning of the Fortune Cup (although the intro episode itself got a good rating), for the very first episode of the Dark Signers arc (which admittedly wasn't that good), and a few random episodes in the middle that don't have anything particularly standout about them.

Hell, it looks like the ratings didn't go into actual routine decline until well into the WRGP (just before Team Taiyou), which is well after I expected it to start tanking (sometime in the Crash Town arc).
