I read the manga a long time ago and just watched the anime for the first time last weekend. I liked them both a lot, especially the end of the human world arc of the manga and all the serious Taikoubou scenes. There's no denying that the anime was the DEENest anime of all time, but I liked the original direction it took the story. I always had a problem with the fact that the manga's final arc kinda implied that everything that happened in the human world was meaningless, but I liked how the characters' decisions in the anime's final arc relied on their experiences in the human world. Taikoubou is one of my favorite shounen protagonists, and Dakki is one of my favorite shounen villains.
Anyway, if you haven't read the manga, you really should. It's amazing, it's got a lot of cool characters (Chou Koumei, anyone? No? Just me?), and it's funny.

Chou Koumei was cool. I never quite understood why people like Hiko's son so much (dude with lightsaber). I'd love to storytime the manga and dump it all, but without a 4chan pass it becomes way too time consuming.

This fucking jobber, being constantly praised for his destructive power but barely winning any fight and constantly getting wrecked.

Really liked the manga back in the day. One of the rare cases where a shounen fight manga had a satisfying end. To this day, Dakki is one of my fav antagonists.
