Nico has some personality flaws that, when you get right down to it, are fairly relatable. Nico's problems aren't carefully contrived to absolve her of responsibility. They are largely her own fault. In spite of her flaws and failings, she mostly has a good heart. Nico's past is full of failure and embarrassment, but she hasn't given up.
