I agree, and that was the point. The general consensus was that the board didn't want to attract any more traffic. Using colours from the default Yotsuba B theme was a method for trying to make the banner blend into the general site layout. So for those reasons I think it's one of the better ones. For the same reasons I would have liked to have seen the SZS "we don't serve first timers!" banner take the winning spot.
