Best example with current shows is that Vivid one, where the silver haired girl beats the three girls to a bloody pulp at some lockers. I don't know the plot other than "they made her miss her grandpa's death" and flushing a jewel or something down a toilet, but disregarding how fucking stupid the bullying was, this beatdown was NOT called for.

Whenever there's violence for the sake of it, it's absolutely stupid. Fighting series get a pass since violence is kind of required to build a villain, but when you just have some random guy or girl harming people physically beyond reason, it's absolutely unnecessary.

Also the licking thing >>149081701 mentioned. That was ENTIRELY pointless. We already knew the guy was fucked up in the head, but the licking scene was like watching an accidental sex scene with your family on a movie night. It was so awkward and our of place.

Not as edgy as Blood C or Akame. but this show went for so much unexpected edge that it ended up being nonsensical and kinda fun.

All the fighters ended up with real trauma from their fights.

Orchestrated to gather sex slaves in a really overcomplicated way.
Set up by her friend, her other friend and the love interest
Who might have been her siblings. I don't remember.
Some bizarre double shyamalan involving her bf and some guy we had never met before.
Her mom was a murderer and a cuck.
And her dad a serial rapist and also a murderer.
And the conflict is resolved with the cast dying in a giant fiery explosion.

And the show starts out as a really shitty copy of Ikkitousen/Queen's Blade.

The stasi in Muv-Luv: Schwarzesmarken. They were so pointlessly cruel that they'd sacrifice their men (despite being low on manpower) for no reason, then have a giggle at it. They torture and kill people at random, all in the public eye, and pretty much admit to being douchebags to everyone. Finally, they're in the middle of a war against a bunch of genocidal aliens that are on the verge of killing them all, and they decide to purposely sabotage the army (because they want more power), conduct coups, be enemies with the West (despite being cut off from the USSR), use the general mayhem to abuse their population, and generally behave in the most mind numbilingly stupid (and evil) way possible. The funny thing is is that the rest of the characters are somewhat realistic or down to earth, making their over the top behavior stand out even more.
