The scythe isn't a weapon at all you fucking fetard, it's a tool for reaping wheat and other types of farm crops. The only reason people even think it's a weapon in the first place is because of how pop culture shows it being used over and over again outside it's intended purpose. Special points going to gothic themed characters (i.e. lolis) and the oversized scythes they wield like they're made out of plastic.

No, realistically they are a terrible weapon.

They are a dramatized farming tool. They were designed to cut vegetation horizontally, not armor human flesh or bone and certainly not other weaponry.

They are flimsy, annoying to use and the thought of using one as a means to defend yourself should be terrifying to you if ever someone meant to take your life.

That bitch boss from the Dark souls 3 DLC used it pretty wel as a weapon.
