Miyazaki is an extremely overrated director who has not made a good movie in about a decade. It also doesn't help that he's a very narrow minded asshole who hates technology, bitches that people use cheaper animation techniques than him and overlooks the difference in funds between his studio and small studios, and in general is a crazy old cook. He's made some great stuff but his lack of good work over the years and his status as a total asshole, the man refuses to let people communicate to him if it's not in person or by post, has severely and justifiably damaged his reputation.

Miyazaki hates everything that wasn't in his generation. He is literally a crotchety old man who hates technology, progress, modern society, and it can be deduced he still is bitter about WW2 to unknown extents. If you hadn't noticed all of these themes are prevalent not only in his films but he openly admits then in interviews.

He hates digital animation as a whole, not glorified purist quotes shit like ANN like to spread like no cgi, he fucking hates EVERYTHING digital including practical time saving uses like coloring. He treats every studio like they should have the amount of money he has to have every last detail done by hand.

I don't hate Miyazaki but he is undeniably an asshole.

Because Lupin doesn't celebrate older Japan, it adds modern stuff and knew ideas which Miyazaki hates. He legitimately thinks feudal system is superior to modern society and thinks kids should grow up in the woods not with technology.

It's really stupid people in the west associate him as some huge force that created anime or call him the Disney of the east. Sudio Ghibli was like the Disney corporation of the east for about a decade but the Eastern Walt Disney is pretty much undeniably Tezuka.

Uro clearly likes the IP or else he wouldn't have agreed to do it and it showed there was a lot of care put in making it a proper prequel, I say piss on saber and the Fate cast because he was willing to develop the characters by showing them in a negative light such as Iksander and Gi Gilgamesh telling her a martyr is not a good king.

The ones who hate Urobuchi are the fans usually because they don't like what he did such as attempt to develop Saber. Not saying all of the people who hate him are fate fans, but I notice a large overlap.

There is ONE movie he has made with digital effects and that was Howl which he has openly stated he hated working on and that's why since Ponyo it's all been hand drawn again. Well. That's silly. I'm a Fate fan. But honestly? I think Uro's great and Zero's an interesting prequel A lof of it is because of what you say. Showing how the parts of Saber that were idealized in F/SN are actually not that good.
I think even Nasu himself may agree. I mean, the reason we got a new adaptation for UBW, and movies for HF but the Fate route remains untouched with it's only adapation still being the one by DEEN is because Nasu doesn't like the Fate route as it is and he wants to rewrite it before it gets any new adaptations.
There are many points were Nasu now notices it could be better

But you must be aware you are an oddity among your own fanbase, because fate fans by and large refuse to admit any fault in the writing or any notion that the series is flawed. I commend you for being one of the people who can actually admit it's flawed but you enjoy it while recognizing that. Being unable to admit fault in what you like is an issue with all fanbases nowadays, but it's really bad with Fate.

Hell even Nasu himself has admitted his writing is kinda sloppy and actually preferred what Urobuchi did with Fate, and has very clearly been attempting to imitate the tone and pacing of Zero ever since.

Not him, but it's one thing to say that Zero did certain things well, and a wholly different thing to say Zero is the absolute pinnacle of the Fate franchise, once you're done with that, don't bother with the rest, "it's trash". Which is what most people who fellate Zero do.

I personally had not problems with Fate whatsoever, thoroughly enjoyed it. And I'm talking the original here, realta nua, other than the addition of voices, can fuck off. People can complain about a myriad of things, and that's fine, but it was quite enjoyable to me. Zero does it's own thing, and it's different, and some people may say aspects are superior to what Nasu did in Fate, and that's also fine. Again though, there's a reason they get called Zero babies, because they start with it, and then precede to call everything else shit, talk about how "icky" all the sex is, how they hate every character in the series, etc.

I think the problem is that long VN makes you emotionally attached just because of the time you spend with those characters from Shirou's perspective. So many want to act like there's nothing wrong or like Fate doesn't exist as it is because of pandering.
The very existence of Prototype proves that wrong. Because Nasu's original idea was to have a female MC who summons King Arthur (male, no actually a girl shenanigans). But, at the time, that wouldn't sell and would get dismissed by VN otaku as otome crap. So, he had to pander and make the MC male. Of course, to avoid the work being dismissed as fujocrap, he also had to make King Arthur a chick
This is why, although I love F/SN, I think other entries in the franchise are better. Because Nasu himself has improved and even he can see how flawed F/SN is now that he has more experienced
