ITT: Post characters who did nothing wrong
>World decaying into an overpopulated mess devoid of meaning and conflict where evolution is difficult and becoming a hero is nearly impossible
>A miracle occurs and Humanity is literally sent a glorious golden god-king to save them from this awful fate and save Mankind.
>Some traumatized kid with survival guilt kills him for moralfag guilt because he somehow WANTS that horrible dystopian future, despite everyone he knows telling him repeatedly its a horrible idea.
Fuck this gay earth and fuck Shiro Emiya.

for moralfag reasons*
>>149058372
he tried to make decisions with logic in a universe where logic gets thrown to the wind
rossiu did nothing wrong but he did nothing right either
he did literally everything wrong
none of his plans would have worked
>>149058525
If he was really so kingly he wouldn't give a shit what happened to earth and create a space empire which only the elite could join. Let the dogs roll in their filth, you only waste your own precious time trying to fix their shitty mess or change their shitty ways.
>>149058928
so people who do things logically and follow the set rules do everything wrong, but following the teachings of a dead guy who died for your mistakes, and only doing things based off of interpretations of this dead guys words makes you a good leader?
>>149058601
>sorry guys I have to leave you on earth to die, there's not enough room for my humanity saving plan to work
>my plan of rushing headfirst into the alien swarm with jack shit to protect us and out greatest weapon locked in a cell on the ground because I bowed to the mob
If he tried to make decisions with logic, he fucking failed. His reason for losing is not that he tried to use logic, because he really didn't, nor because he wasn't the main character. It's because he didn't BELIEVE IN THE KAMINA WHO BELIEVED IN HIM.
>>149058997
Following the rules blindly is for idiots, idiot. You're a mediocre leader even in the real world if the best you can do is merely follow the book.
>>149059107
no one really knew how to read the book, all the people who went to fight the anti spirals were following the words of a dead guy, doesn't that sound familiar
>JUST
>>149058991
That is not how a true king rules!
>>149059190
Shut up faggot, you got killed by your own people because you were a naive bitch.
Was it intentional that they made this dude look just like Fei Fong Wong? What a low blow.

>A king not protecting his property

he just wants to inspect things

I mean the metaphorical book of playing it safe and never being inventive. Simon, Kamina, Kittan, they were all inventive in combat. That's why they succeeded. If they had merely been satisfied with compromise, they would never had defeated the antispiral.
Maybe you don't understand this, but what Rossiu did not only had no chance of succeeding, it was foolish and abandoned the very people who had been the only reason he had ever made it thus far. Without those people he would have been shot down by a gunman and left as nothing more than an unnamed and unknown skeleton in the wasteland. Everything up to that point had proven to him that those people could be trusted, that their words and ways were the path of winning. The most foolish thing he could have possibly done based on what he had experienced and what he knew, was to abandon them and their words.
By matter of experience he should have know to trust them.
>>149059356
Earth was far from the great thing he had once owned, it was as useful as a broken and rusty sword. It can only be abandoned at that point.
>>149059450
>Without those people he would have been shot down by a gunman and left as nothing more than an unnamed and unknown skeleton in the wasteland.
He would be living in a fucking hole.
Also, no, there was no way for him to know they had any chance at all of beating the anti-spirals. "Trusting" someone doesn't mean they're unbeatable.

>Entire world is shitty and ruined and mankind is seriously going to go extinct because people are too soft and complacent.
>Gilgamesh returns through sheer freak accident, decides that INSTEAD of trying to summon Enkidu or experiencing the modern era's pleasures or murderhoboing he's going to Make Earth Great Again
How can people hate this man? He had led a wonderful life. He didn't need this. He made a truly successful legend, with some of the finest treasures in the world. He could have stayed home. Instead he took the hate, and the difficulty, and the opposition on all sides.
>Gil 2016
>>149059538
No but his alternative plan was literally "Lets literally get into a small cramped spaceship and make a fucking run for it flying DIRECTLY into enemy lines"
Pants on head retarded that one.
>>149059538
He would be living in a hole until the gunmen fell down and killed them all, if gurren lagann had not found him. He had every reason to believe that following their words will let them win. He had seen them in battle several times before and their ways had proven to work. By the logic of what he had seen of the world, that WAS the correct way to do things. To abandon that because he had some shitty little fear inside him saying "b-but what if it doesn't work?" is exactly why he lost.
Really, he had seen that believing in them worked countless times, why abandon that now? Also, he locked up their greatest weapon of defense. That's not fucking logical. He let an illogical mob dictate his actions, how the FUCK is that logical in any way, shape, or form? Fuck off, you're full of shit.
>>149059573
I love gilgamesh but he was an idiot for giving a shit about earth. There was no greatness to be pulled back out of earth, the only powerful people even alive on earth anymore were mages fighting against him.
>>149059737
>All the powerful people on earth hated him and wanted to keep him out of power.
Make Earth Great Again.
Gilgamesh is the ruler of the earth. To abandon it is to say that he can't even manage his own property, to turn from his self-chosen destiny, which is unacceptable. He has to MEGA or he'll look like a total bitch.
In order to truly have a society of order one must purge undesirable things from it.
All degeneracy must be purged in fire.
>>149059683
>To abandon that because he had some shitty little fear inside him saying "b-but what if it doesn't work?"
You say that, but there was no reason to believe it would work. Simple as that. You're not getting that "believing in them" working on enemies before doesn't mean it would work on enemies different on a molecular level.
>>149059594
Can't argue with that.
Spiral Power can scale up endlessly, but this is not something Rossiu knows when he acted as he did. Yes, he did see Team Gurren beat Lord Genome and wreck Teppelin, but he does not know for sure that more power ups would be coming. Faced with that he makes the "hard choices", according to himself. And really, it doesn't work out because Spiral and Anti-Spiral power are such cosmic forces that he doesn't initially understand.
>>149061100
His fault is that he tries to apply logic to a universe that is entirely ilogical. He is in a sense the critical viewer who can't let himself get pulled along with Simon and the show itself.
>>149061152
Is should also be noted that, Simon aside, Kittan and many of the members of Team Gurren have, on some level, a death wish. In the show we see them struggling to adapt to their new lives, and Kittan at some point remarks that "maybe Kamina picked the right time to go". The struggle and the fight is what they are all about. Dying in a heroic blaze of glory was what most of them wanted.
