just found it today [but not translated from the usual source]
This is the pilot episode for dungeon Meishi [note catgirl]
[there may be a delay due to me posting this in both /a/ and /tg/
and done - enjoy.
also dont forget that Vertical is running its regular survey [with oportunity to suggest new titles for them to consider licencing] so if you want a chance to see meishi legally available in the west nows your chance to make it known
>Why would you care about catgirl if she´s not even canon
I was just noting that there was a catgirl included in the party in the pilot who wasnt there in the main series.
>usually only pick up finished series with high interest.
Good. That's a business model I can agree with. That way we never have to stray into anime original territory, or just have a series end after two seasons with no resolution because the manga has not finished yet.
I took the survey
Requested Dungeon Meshi plus two more of Kui Ryoko's manga
thus my comment that it isnt from the usual TLgroup
Thanks for the post anon! Like >>149028084
said I'm glad Marcille took over the straight man role even if it means losing a catgirl.
Also really interesting to see the overlap in certain aspects which carried over to the series we have now like the nature of the mimic.
>a parallel dimension where marcille isn't pic related
i don't know what to think about this
I get the feeling Dungeon Meshi wouldn't be as popular on 4chan if it didn't have the breakdancing, normalfag elf mage.
It woudn't be as as popular on anywhere, she's one of the strongest point of the series, everyone loves her.
>in some alternate universe, anons are stuck with Rei-clone Marcille and a spicy catgirl
the "pushing the stoic char beyond its boundaries" work better with Marcille because shes a proud elf IMO
maybe she cut the catgirl to keep the main party small even after Farlyn joins up
Following and watching the party as they learn and experience things for the first time is far more interesting then having an established party where the newcomer is there to justify exposition. I'm sure there is a literary term for what I described.
The writer made the right choice a story telling perspective anyways.
"One of the strongest points" doesn't mean "she is the only strong point", "everyone loves her" doesn't mean "she's the only good character".
I got that you just are being dumb contrarians for the sake of being dumb contrarians, but you should be ashamed of making me explain such an explicit and obvious post.
> Explicitly stated that without Marcille specifically the manga wouldn't be as good or popular.
Yes, of course, because she is one of the strongest points of the series and everyone loves her, duh.
Now tell me which part of what you two dumb contrarian bros posted has anything to do with that. All you have said is "all the characters in the main party are good" and "mah favuorite is Senshi", that can't deny her and essential contribute and the massive popularity she has everywhere.
Sto trying so hard, I got that such an obvious and evident statement triggered you that much, but, please, reastrain yourself and don't be such an obnoxious and unresonable contrarian in DM threads, this fanbase is better than that.
