Have you ever gone out and bought something simply because it was featured in a anime you liked?
... it was sold out though.
I also wanted to do that and i did. Dr pepper tasted like shit with sugar so i've changed my opinion on steins gate. From 10/10 to 5/10 on MAL. HOUOIN KYOUMA you have shit taste.
>tfw you jokingly tell your boss that your favorite soda is dr pepper after having been asked so now you get tons of dr pepper bought for you and people try to make it part of your personality and make light hearted jokes about it but coca-cola is actually your soda
My life is a fucking meme
It tastes like the garbage juice that accumulates at the bottom of a trash bag, what the hell 8man.
Pineapples are breddy good, senpai.
>Fender Mustang (K-On)
>Cannondale road bike (Yowapeda)
>rum raisin (I would have never tried this if it wasn't for YRYR, I think this is now my favorite flavor but it's hard to come by)
>a bunch of cheap candy (Dagashi Kashi)
There's probably more but I can't recall
Dr Pepper, yeah. When I first watched Steins;Gate I wanted to try it but no shop around me had it, then almost a year later I randomly came across it and bought 2 bottles. I didn't like it.
Still remember the time I learned Haagen Dazs was actually American and not European. Kind of disappointed when I learned about that.
I eat Pizza Hut on C.C.'s birthday every year.
i immediately went and bought yakisoba after watching the k-on episode where mugi was so adamant on getting yakisoba at the mountain concert festival, but ended up getting none. i bought some in little tokyo
It's a meme guitar
But I mean if you don't much about music or don't care that much about instruments then it's no big deal. A majority of people I know don't can't hear the difference between guitars so they choose whatever is most expensive.
Last time I checked Mr Pibb was still around (although the only places I can find it are in big cities)
Japanese candies are great, a shame they are pretty expensive where I live.
Watching K-On was one of the final pushes towards me selling my Ric 4003. I never bonded with it and it wasn't that great for how expensive it was, don't fall for the Rickenbacker meme.
I picked up a nice Nip made Fender in a pawn shop and have been happy since
I've been playing for more than 10 years (mostly as a classical player). I actually had a Gibson Les Paul at one point but I sold it in favor of the Mustang. There's something with it that I really like.
The mustang cost me $525 so it's not exactly expensive.
I tried, but they're too expensive. One of these days.
I started drinking Dr. Pepper after watching Steins;Gate. I liked it so much that I actually convinced my local 7-Eleven store manager to get Dr. Pepper-flavored Slurpees.
Then I got addicted to convenience store food after watching Chuunibyou season 1.
Eventually I ended up gaining 15 pounds because of drinking Dr. Pepper and eating shitty convenience store food (mostly microwaveable burritos and instant ramen noodles), so I decided to give up on shit.
That's actually pretty cool.
I know it's in every anime but I finally tried Pocky, and they are pretty damn good. They just have way too much sugar, I ate a couple and I already felt pretty shitty but that's probably because I don't eat very much candy anymore.
Any other good nip candies worth trying?
everyone bought apples after they watched death note dont deny it
I got Pepsi Next because it was the closest thing to Japans Nex soda that was advertised in Tiger and Bunny
I first tried Yebisu because of Eva and ended up liking it the most of the popular Japanese beers. Sadly it doesn't seem to be imported anymore, at least I haven't seen it in any Japanese restaurants or grocery stores in a few years.
Similar story for Mild Seven cigarettes, which have been in a lot of anime and other Japanese media. And no, I didn't start smoking because of anime, I was dumb but not THAT dumb.
I tried one of those once. It was awful.
I first tried age-sen because of the dude from World Trigger. Ended up liking them a lot, I buy them regularly now.
I like these, but I like strong black coffee in general. The best kind are the ones with milk, but you can't get them in the US anymore. (Because of an import ban on Japanese dairy, I think.) The only exception is UCC but it's the worst Japanese canned coffee, way too much sugar and milk and is actually pretty unpopular in Japan.
