Watchmen is pretty good but Don Quixote is an actual masterpiece. The fact that its humour is still so pointed today is incredible; Watchmen is a good read but not nearly as developed in its themes.

Don quijote is not that good, it's decent but now the novelty weared off, through the reading you understand the kind of books and stories it coexisted with, and you can see why it would be engraved on the mind of people that read it at that time. Now it's packed with less punch since a lot of stories are alike, that drew inspiration from it making it dated. It's still good overall, but not a must, not anymore.
Watchmen is boring tho.
