I love LotGH but the political aspects of it aren't all that great. It's pure good old fashioned Space Opera not a political thriller. Promoting it as some grand and deep political work is just selling it based on it's weaker aspects.

Both the political and the sci-fi elements are very shallow and juvenile. It's almost insulting, for a fan of either, to hold this show in high esteem. It's literally babby's first serious anime.

Yang is a piece of shit, talking about democracy, yet does nothing to defend it or ensure its standing with safe locks in place along with balance of powers.

He's also a piece of shit for not supporting Republicanism, and sprouting his philosophy without defending it.
