She was too bratty though. Anime staff omitted most of her scenes being nice to Kyousuke and neglected to show the change in her personality over the series until the OVA.

Watching the anime it's hard to believe that Kirino starts treating Kyousuke fairly normal in the later half of the LN and even had scenes of Kyousuke playfully teasing Kirino and acting confident with her.

If they included the full story and actually showed their development both characters would be far less hated.
