Anime didn't have lots of music inside. Todokanai Koi was great, White Album (not on stage though) was great, Sound of Destiny was shit. OST itself is great, but it isn't really related to "anime about music". Still, the best part about WA2 is what lies next although episodes with Kazusa and Haruki practicing were really comfy

Playing the remake of WA1 might be a good start then. The story isn't quite as deep, but the voice acting is still great.

I finally got around to watching it last month and it's quite mediocre. Perhaps coda might redeem it, but really as it is it's nothing more than any trashy teen romance novel I used to read.
