What is the name of that exercise on the right again?

I'm fine with it now. I wasn't at first, but then I just realized that the author likes having a new character take the stage as much as he can. I feel bad for the people who watched the first two seasons and just wanted Nanoha and fate to be the focus going on instead of a prominent side character and title of the series.

Vivid Strike is really good so far; better than the Vivio Series.
Both are Spin-offs but Vivid Strike has that Whimsy and seriousness you can come to expect from the Nanoha Franchise.

So far the good violent imagery of the fights contrast nicely with the cute nature of the girls. Something Nanoha:Vivid failed to pull off possibly due to A1.

Well for one Vivio didn't fight Einhart in the tournament (which this show appears to be setting up the duoprotagonists for) so there's quite a difference already.

Also a majority of the focus in Vivid Strike has been on said MCs where Vivid had many of the side-characters get their own important moments to shine.

Then again, we are only 3 episodes in so this could change. We'll just have to wait and see!

Honestly, I like Fuuka more as a character than Nanoha, at least so far. Nanoha was pretty boring in season 1 until things started happening. Nanoha just has a more interesting skillset.

When the first season of the TV show initially aired it seemed like they weren't really sure where they were going to take it at first, which meant that it has a lot of "bloat" in its 12 episodes that the movie adaptation could easily cut without losing anything important.

I never saw the second movie but I'm going to guess that it's at least slightly inferior to the A's TV series by virtue of the fact that unlike season 1, A's is solid as a fucking rock in terms of content/pacing with no easily-cuttable bloat.

Also keep in mind that the movies are both 2 and a half hour long adaptations of series that consist of twelve ~20some-minute episodes, so the the difference in run time isn't particularly massive.

I caught up today. I really liked how in her fight against all the thugs she just gets cracked in the back of her head by a bat and jumped on.
Really gave her character a sense of desperation and pain. When the vivio cast came in, I got really excited for the BEFRIENDING.
All of the characters just give her basically a home then beat her up one after the other. I thought that was hilarious. I wish they kept that part of her character for more than one episode, it seems like she's getting healed far too fast.

I personally felt that her accepting her situation very quickly is within her character.
