I mean there's always been good seasons and bad seasons. We just had like what, three good seasons in a row for anime? Erased, Boku no Hero, Mob Psycho, Re Zero, Konosuba... this is definitely a weaker season but don't forget how bad 2015 was.

I wouldn't call two good series per season a good season. I think the last few were pretty weak, but I've only seen the first episodes of the new series so my imaginary ratings will probably drop this week. Second episodes are often way worse than first ones or sometimes okay but show hints how the plot will develope from now on which is often not what I hoped for at first. In the end this season will probably as weak as the last ones and only produce two memorable series but let's wait a few weeks.
