The problem is that Nikaido's transformation can't be undone easily. She piled all the gas she can make in a lifetime into the shells that let her timetravel. If she were to undo the transformation she'd be squandering an extremely useful "get out of jail free" card by wasting her timetravel on trivial things. But if she spends too long without using it she'll stay a devil unless she somehow gets butchered by the bird (we won't even know if she wants to by them because becoming a devil changes your personality a fair bit).

Wasn't Noi in the final phase of devil transformation where she was forbid to use magic? The thing that bugs me in this clusterfuck is that the final boss ai/aikawa needs to be killed a certain number of times due to his additional heads but the monstrosity never permanently "loses" one of its personality when a head is cut off. I would naturally assume that when the monstrosity dies as Aikawa (such as when Aikawa died in Kirion's shop) then Aikawa wouldn't show himself again anymore.

Chidaruma created magic users, at some point he discovered humans. Somehow the magic users also discovered humans and killed a bunch of them and made a mass grave. This mass grave absorbed all the bad vibes man and became "The Hole". Ai Coleman jumped into the hole at some point and was possessed by the will of the hole. The hole also gave him multiple heads. Some bullshit happens in the middle. Long story short everything was keikau and The hole has now completed its task of gathering/absorbing powerful magic users which of course was Chidaruma's keikau all along.
