AssClass tried to create a sentimental end, but since the characters are totally forgettable, it did not work. It is a classic example that having an original idea is no guarantee of a good story.

I'm still conflicted on whether Slam Dunk's ending is good or not. That last game was amazing and obviously Sakuragi wouldn't be able to play much more right afterwards, but it sucks that they didn't play against Kainan one more time for revenge before playing against Sannoh. That just seems like missed potential.
