Knew it was going to go down like that. Meme god started off way too dominating for his own good, so naturally the pendulum was going to swing the other way. I predict Motobe's going to get in a few more good hits, and possibly goes all ALLAH ACKBAR and blows himself up to take Musashi with him or some shit, which naturally doesn't work.

The point of this fight is probably to show everyone that Motobe's techniques were actually the only ones that had an actual, notable effect on Musashi. Maybe Baki will actually step back into his own manga and do some sort of ninja training with Gaia or something.

Ooor possibly not, and instead it just goes the way of Baki telling him he's learned to see through the sword and kicking Musashi's ass. I'm just hoping there was at least SOME point to making Motobe the most important and strongest motherfucker there is out of nowhere.

IMPORTANT GENERAL QUESTION FOR ALL OF YOU: how much do you care about getting Grappler chapters? Would you rather us have equal priority on Grappler and on Dou, higher priority Grappler, higher priority for Dou, etc?

I personally kinda want to prioritize Dou because I believe that, if we really buckle down, we can actually catch up to the week-by-week Dou chapters. I know you would all like that. But that would mean losing some priority on Grappler, which is also important. I know, from many sources, that a lot of readers just start at the second series; so my question *therein* is: do you think finishing Grappler quickly is worth much? Because, as long as we're being honest, I can kill the redraw quality and we can probably get the series done 10x faster.

On that note: don't expect Kenjin 3 any time soon. That shit is fucking impossible to redraw and I can never even look at it, because it reminds me of how much work I will have to put into it.

Part of why I ask here is because there is a 'non-vocal' number of people who message Dear Leader now-and-then asking why we haven't put out more Grappler. fun fact: there's a lot of random, tertiary fighters in the manga's Maximum Tournament that aren't in the anime. I can only assume that was to save time, but they exist nonetheless.

Everyone was supremely off-the-mark. As they were with Motobe, actually. Hanada gets beaten half-to-death by Mount Toba, of all people; and then after healing, he gets beaten by Katou. Like, there was no real time to train or do anything in between the Toba fight and the Katou fight. It was probably just a few months at best, so Katou couldn't have improved "that much".

It wasn't "for fun". All of the fighters were basically suicidally bored and entirely stagnated. He didn't want to see them as miserable as they seemed, so he decided to take it upon himself to create a challenge for them.

He absolutely hates the idea of any of the fighters dying, and even cried when Retsu died. Tokugawa's character has grown ridiculously since the beginning of the story; he's not doing this out of bloodlust.
