To make sure, you all should understand Isayama isn't writing this like history. It's a mythology story.

The history of this story is a good person made a deal with the Devil. Ymir Fritz was a good person that made a deal with the Devil (unknown who/what this is) for power. We have no idea why.
It was granted.
Ymir Fritz, a good person with power, did good things! But Ymir Fritz died.
After Ymir Fritz died...the powers remained, passing on to others. And not everyone is a good person. Life was great when one, good person (Ymir Fritz) had all that power, but the when the origin of the power is constantly being shown to be a Devil, scary, demonic looking creature, it follows that the power isn't wholly a good thing. It corrupts. The deal was originally granted knowing that putting power into the world like that would have the (Devil's) desired effects.

Eldians, descendants of Ymir Fritz and the 9 power-holders that were split from her, have good and bad mixed in their history. Ymir Fritz seems to be, throughout Historia Reiss' arc and this current chapter, a genuinely good person filled with love, always working to people's benefit. The "bad" history of Eldians seems to have started after her death...and for a very, very, very long time.
Marleyans, one of the first people harmed by one of the bad parts of Eldian history, gathered strength and turned the tables to the point where even they "possess" 7 of the 9 powers. Though, it seems they can't really USE it, which will need to be explained...after all, the fact they have Titan power is a reason they're militarily feared. But if they can't USE it, then that doesn't make sense. They are even trying to extend the time that power is feared before fossil fuels are the new currency of war-power. Why?

The point is, the manga will either have a twist about the origin of these powers (whoever the Devil is) or will end when Eren (or someone) inherits all 9 powers and become a new Ymir Fritz. To what end, who knows?

I don't like it, but how else do you explain nature of some giant creatures which do not age, or eat, or shit, or have meaningful organs, except for "It was a magical bio-weapon all along"?

So, when dust is settled and we finally got information about what kind of warriors are BRAZ , let's talk about how shit BRA are.
Three of them think about people who peacefully live beyond the wall and did nothing wrong as a devil race, which should be wiped out from the world, even though BRA are actually the same race. They killed millions people and made thousand of them live in suffer.
Living with idea of devil race and continuing their mission, BRA pretended to be friends and true soldiers. Even killing their friend Marco who just wanted to talk with them didn't stop BRA or made think about the point of their mission. And if Reiner and Annie did shit work and regret about it, Bert always tried to run away and never regret abou what they did. Being super strong CT he almost never tried to take responsibility for his or his team actions. We don't know "9 Powers" refers to the nicknamed stuff we've seen so far. "Beast" "Colossal" "Armored" etc. Those are likely just qualities of better understanding/genetic use of titans. Eren hasn't eaten Reiner, but he can armor up, too. In fact, all the titans so far seem to be able to create the hard casing. There seems to be dozens, if not HUNDREDS of colossal titans, proof enough by the wall istelf. The ability to control mindless titans is something multiple people have been shown to do.

"9 Powers" from the Ymir Fritz death does not imply the 9 shifters with unique abilities from the mindless titans. If anything, the mindless titans are likely abnormal from the mythology in the first place, likely because the Marleyans have an incomplete/inqadequate means of forcing titanization on Eldians as a means of punishment.

For all we know, shifting could have been commonplace for Eldians. All those powers could have been commonplace. "9 Powers" could just be the knowledge of "how to" do all those unique things. They just don't know "how to" do 2 of them so far and figure taking someone who does grants it.
