Yeah, I was disappointed by the ending, not because of Chihiro winning, but because the time travel arc was a mess and Wakaki didn't know how to tie everything in.
I gave a try to his recent manga and it's pretty good, it's funny and most important his girls are still delicious.

Entire last quarter or third of the manga is absolute shit with one of the best non-endings in manga. Even Chihirofags have to admit how shit it is. The only good thing about it was what happened to LC, basically everything else was trash. If the pacing was better it might have been decent at least, since waifufags would be mad no matter what ending we got. But it was just a long trek through poor chapters for like a whole year.
Goddess arc onwards is a huge mess. It should have stayed a one girl per arc type deal, it was way more interesting and fun when it was like that.

I hated both goddess and time travel arcs but at least Urarara was cute.
Threads went to shit when waifu wars really started to ramp up, story followed shortly after that. It really never recovered momentum, and ultimately the goddess arc felt like a massive waste, it didn't even help with Keima's character development.
