Otherwise Pokemon. It's the best way to get powerful compared to other settings where people have been training their body, fighting for real, and practicing magic/power/ki/whatever for much longer than you. Being a game it means you'll always have at least enough knowledge to get off the ground if you were to end up there just for having played it.
