BLUNDER OF THE YEAR

Why the fuck did the writer make the main character go into a coma for 15 years?
Everybody memes about the ntr shit but this was far more retarded.
It felt like it was just a plot device to skip forward in time so we could see how the MC's actions had affected everyone else. Which is fucking stupid, because he already jumped forward in time earlier in the show.
It had no emotional weight behind it as his coma lasted like 15 seconds to the viewer and everyone in the show was just like "oh hey, you're awake, time to wrap up the plot now".
This show dropped of a cliff so hard in the second half, the ntr stuff is just a nice visual metaphor of how shit the show became.

The crux of the problem was the coma. Not that she didn't wait for him.

Story should have never put him in to a coma for so long to begin with. A shorter coma would have been fine if he could wake up and find her before she got hitched to someone else and they could fall in love as young adults.

The whole ending just needs to be "Erased", and go a completely different direction.

It's not technically NTR, but it is a needlessly frustrating conclusion. Why would you tease your audience with 10 episodes of building slight romance between the MC and the main girl only to have the story zip several years in the future and she's married with kids to somebody else, and the MC is an unemployed single 20s-something skeleton with no college degree who's gonna have to waste even more years of his life in tenuous physical therapy before he can even think about going out and fixing any of those problems.

It's basically an unintentional tragedy, yet they expect you to feel good about it. The MC is currently in a worse life position right now than 90% of /a/.
