While I agree that Ariel doesn't fit the image in our heads, I think the touch of white hair on her is quite clever as it represents Body in Charge assimilating into her, after all Shiro is white no? This might seem minor, but a fundamental point is that Ariel has amassed too much XP and can no longer keep her 'self' so to speak due to the enormous changes over time done by acquiring all that XP. As such, her entire outfit is overdone as if reflecting her soul which is basically a mixing pot of souls.Even the supposed gaps in her stockings could be said to represent how she's close to death.

In contrast though we haven't seen an illustration yet, Shiro is known for being plain and completely white. This symbolically is the opposite as it represents Shiro despite having fucked with her soul in all sorts of ways, ultimately retains her sense of self to the fullest as regardless of the changes made to her like when she developed tons of parallel wills and even had one of them removed from her forever, she is still Shiro and has no problem being herself. That purity is also a symbol of how she could become god while Ariel and Potimas could not.

Granted there are underlying reasons for why this is, but the visual imagery seems to have a purpose, well I can't figure out the kishirika leather outfit part aside from fan service, but the rest kinda make sense.

Personally I'm curious if that picture actually shows her with more than two eyes, it seems like there's more eyes in between her hair but I'm unsure, and the WN never ever says jack shit about Ariel having more than a pair of eyes.
