I love Corona-chan!!!
She looks plain/generic sidekick on first glance but is pretty cute actually. At least in Vivid anime, the design for Strike is not that good.
And long skirt for a change.
>>148218037
Best girl. I was surprised her golem spell didn't wreck the entire fucking stadium. Just where did all that material come from? She probably could have beaten 2nd best girl Einhart if she hadn't been interrupted.
She is also interested in social psychology!
Einhart is mai waifu.
>>148218037
Why did they re-draw everyone in Strike anyway? Everything looks worse. Einhart used to be the coolest 10 year old girl on the planet, a dignified bancho who put flathead screws into her gloves so she could punch harder. Now she is a BUTTERFACE.
>>148219133
Yay, finally somebody who also views it like that. In one of the first threads I was nearly eaten alive by anon(s?) for saying Vivid looked better.
>>148219133
She was 12, but yeah.
>>148219133
Love does that to you Anon, we all must blame Yumina.
>>148219815
Yeah, Nanoha and Fate looked better in A's too. I was disappointed about Einhart's appearance though, she was the first really good character design to come out of this series since Hayate. They just made too many low quality girls in Strikers and they keep adding more, but she was a great protagonist. Surprised me since I thought Vivio was unspeakably ugly.
I mean hell look at this
>>148220166
No point in complaining about it. You will get used to the new artstyle soon, anon. Aloof Einhart is cool but smug Einhart is cool, too.
I was also wondering, why do the aerial combat magicians drive cars everywhere? Why do Nanoha and Fate, saviors of earth, drive a shitty Honda minivan?
>>148220956
Because they need special permission to fly on Mid Childa.
Yeah, I know that sounds stupid, but the writing is bad like that.
>>148221063
hell I wouldn't live somewhere I wasn't allowed to fly
>>148221179
Yeah, legal restrictions like that one and the limiters were really bad decisions, you have a group of elite mages that you want to see using their abilities for things other than the important fights, but you have them crippled 99% of the time which is frustrating as hell.
Why is nanoha so popular?
>>148221769
It isn't anymore, the latest volumes of Vivid are selling almost the same numbers of what Force was selling before it got "cancelled".
They're trying to save the franchise by getting new fans interested on the experimental new installments, instead of appealing to what remains of the original fanbase.
>>148221898
where do you get this data btw?
>>148222157
The charts get posted every now and then on Yamibo and that other big chinese forum with a Nanoha board that I can't remember.
>>148221769
It was the first of the battle mahou shoujo made for adult males rather than little girls. Also, have you watched the first two seasons or even the movies? They're pretty good! The antagonists are credible and interesting too, pretty rare in this genre.
I didn't hate Strikers or Vivid. Good ideas, though they weren't as well made as the first 2 installments. The whole time I just wanted more of Nanoha and Fate fighting even bigger battles in more complicated situations.
>>148221426
>2 are former class A criminals
>1 is a rare monster from some backward unadministrated world
>Every single one has enough firepower to nuke your whole city if they so wish to
The TSAB has every right to be wary of the Aces. The limiters and stuffs are their only way of making sure they have those big cannons under control. It's the same reason why big dogs need to be muzzled when going out even though they might be completely harmless.
I was so happy to see this tip-toeing little shit get blown the fuck out
>>148221898
>what Force was selling before it got "cancelled"
Hopefully that doesn't mean my fears of the producers preparing an exit via all these weird changes post-Yumina are true.
Honestly though, school festival volume and 3-volume space china training do sound like something that would make people lose interest if before that, you had soem character drama, tournament and explanation of the whole belkan backstory (for me at least it was pretty good).
>>148222527
Miura is cute but I found I just can't root for her when the opponent has boobs and ~naisu bady. She needs to get an adult mode too to not be handicapped.
>>148222334
>The TSAB has every right to be wary of the Aces. The limiters and stuffs are their only way of making sure they have those big cannons under control. It's the same reason why big dogs need to be muzzled when going out even though they might be completely harmless.
That wasn't the point, in terms of the specific plot of Nanoha you can easily make excuses for the restrictions imposed on the main characters, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a measure that cripples the characters out of battle, limits what the characters can do, and it's frustrating overall.
This reminds me of Metroid Other M which made the same mistake, Samus was an overpowered war machine before the game started, but when you get control of the game you're stripped to the bare basics and every other ability or weapon you have is locked by your commander and needs to be authorized by him to be able to be used again, which only happens as the game progresses one upgrade at a time. Fucking stupid.
>>148222334
so that's why the gym members are all named after shitty cars (except miura lol)
>>148222597
The rematch with Miura and the upcoming (maybe) match against Nanoha, as well as IX waking up probably will stir up interests again. They better not end the manga before the rematch between Seig and Einhart.
It's ironic. I was rather content with the state of the current stories before this summer, unlike all the people who complain of decline. Then:
>Vivid Life ends
>Vivid Strike announced
>this stuff
>Yumina shipping WTF
>deathflags for Vivid
Reflection announcement or not, suddenly I feel the pain of al those anons who feared their loved franchise is dying.
Don't take away my Hegemon, damnit.
>>148223130
Haou is too cool for school. I knew the writers wouldn't do her justice. It was the same with Fate. Even though she was way more interesting, the focus always had to be on Nanoha.
>Vivid
>Fate goes all out
>With Bardiche in jobber mode
Get it together Fate
>>148223334
I thought they were just going easy for the kids, so I was surprised to read that too.
>>148223130
The Hegemon will be fine. Unlike Vivio whose entrance to Strike was no more than that of a mob character, Einhart got a proper introduction, the first eyecatch, and is going to get a cool illustration with Fuuka in the next Animedia issue. Her future is at least much more brighter than Vivio.
>>148223334
She is doing her very best in her jobber mode which should be enough to beat the old Erio.
>>148223334
>>148223667
Nanoha and Fate >>148223904
were under limiters, and I doubt Fate would ever be serious in a sparing.
>>148222527
>tip-toeing little shit
Eheheh... She was annoying with her bullshit Muhammad Ali hip hopping.
>>148222527
>>148224300
Don't hate on the Bibi.
>>148224300
>Vivio going gaga over everything Einhart does
>Einhart blushing every time someone gets close to her
It was a fun and simple time.
I think Vivio made even bigger eyes at Einhart the first time she saw her, in the anime.
>>148226295
So why's the anime called Vivid Strike and not Hard Stirke?
I wonder why Harunyan doesn't take Teo out with her when she trains. What if she got jumped by some thugs and needed to fight back? Without her transformation she would be at a serious disadvantage.
>>148226384
>>148226645
As if some stupid thugs would be able to defeat her. Did you forget how she used to go beating up all the strong thugs around town and even Nove before? She can use magic and transform to adult mode even without Teo. Her original physical strength is already much higher than that of a normal man, and her skill in martial arts is at the top of the universe.
>>148227276
That was Heidi E.S. Ingvalt, not Harunyan.
Is everyone ready for the new episode of loliboxing?
>>148226645
It's broad daylight, it's fine.
I think it's implied that Fuuka specifically sought them out, anyway.
>>148227360
Heidi come back
>>148222863
what a shitty looking car
prototype model?
>>148226295
It's love anon. Love makes your eyes bigger.
>>148228470
They better fix Hayate being in love in the blurays.
Oh good news, Nanoha is in love too. SHe needs to have a talk with Fate though. >>148223334
So have we ever found out who Einhart's parents are or how she can afford that nice apartment?
>>148227681
Why does she go by Einhart Stratos, her two middle names. Heidi Ingvalt is much cuter~
>>148229056
Einhart beat up her parents for not being strong enough.
Uh, is that it?
Where's the rest of it?
The tournament was just getting good.
>>148229250
Next year.
So how many years into the future is Strike Vivid after Nanoha Vivid?
>>148229644
8 months, I think?
>>148229250
>>148229547
>have a series airing in the middle that takes place after S2, then have S2 air
God, they really fucked this up.
>>148229547
>>148229761
Yeah thats pretty weird.
>>148229761
>8 months
So in 8 months Nove managed to get enough money to open a huge ass gym, Einhart became the Under 15 World Champion and then somehow Rinne also became the Under 15 World Champion but still managed to lose to Vivio?
Or did Rinne lose the championship and now Einhart is the champion? I am confused.
>>148230056
The champion isn't part of the rankings. Being ranked no. 1 means you're considered the best non-champion competitor.
>>148230159
So how can Einhart and Rinne both be the Under 15 world champion at the same time?
Hopefully someone rips the video to go with subs this time tomorrow.
>>148230338
They aren't. The subs were wrong. Einhart is the champ, Rinne is no.1 ranked fighter.
>>148229102
Both are nice. I know that when I read it first (IIRC in 2013 or 2014), I was almost rolling on the floor that a loli is called HEGEMON INGVALT and for second time when I heard >EINHART STRATOS. Strong name indeed.
Looking at my screenshot dumpplace, A1 wasn't completely shabby in the use of shading in Vivid anime. You can see how some places got quite a nice effort put in. Hopefully they'll fix some of the glaring QUALITY scenes on blurays, it will be pretty decent work with that.
Salutations, Mahou Shoujo Lycra Nove.
>>148231342
Sankt KAISER sounds pretty cool to my non-german ears too, actually.
>>148229056
>be Einhart's parents
>Yay, we got ourselves a cute girl
>This is weird, her eyes are in different colors
>Oh, what did you just say? Olivie? Who?
>No, your name is Einhart, not Claus
>Why are you talking and acting like a middle age man? You're a 3 years old girl!
>Hegemon what? You're too young to be a chuuni, Einhart
>Hey, I told you to stop going around beating up the neighbor kids
>Why do you never smile? Why do you look so sad all the time? Do you hate your parents or something?
>You got into a fight again. Where did you even learn to fight like that?
>Please, stop doing those weird training by yourself all the time. Go outside and make friends with other kids. Huh? You can't? Why?
Einhart's parents got so sick of her shit that they decided to disappear into oblivion.
