>we could've got Phantom World S2 or even better Amaburi S2
>instead we got Forced Drama S2
Phanto World was a fun episodic comedy anime. It might not have been all that good, but it was fun. A boring anime is far worse than a bad one. I still remember Captain Earth, I finished it but goddamn was it boring.
Reminder that fuyukai is shit tier in her shitty anime
Please don't use Mai to shitpost. You end up attracting comments like this>>148197604
This guy gets it. KNK has
>shit glasses fetish
The only good this out of that shit is ED and idol episode.
Sure, if you are in your wacky-tacky teen phase.
ABP and Phantom World are bot irredeemable shit for nobody else but cowtit lover boys.
Only KnK can compete for the biggest worthless garbage title.
Phantom World is trash. Amaburi was half decent if only because it was actually trying to tell a story, but then after that was finished, there was nothing else. At least Sento and Kanye probably had sex. Kyoani writing wise is garbage, and people just like them for their animations and designs. This is what happens whe people fall back primarily on their artistic and visually creative skills when they have little to no actual substance when it comes to writing.
I don't give a shit about the drama, I just want more Asuka
I didn't watch the whole show, but I gotta tired of browsing the threads without watching the show and seeing everyone praise it so I skipped to the last episode, and I have to agree. The show made no sense. Why the fuck were they so emotional over a concert? Half of the cast didn't even take part. It was forced emotions. I sort of understand the appeal, people like to cry and feel happy, and this show fakes those emotions so people empathize, I guess, but if watched this show with your brain turned on you'd realize how artificial they are. I honestly couldn't really make sense of any plot in the last episode either, which contributed to the artificiality of the emotions. So, I can see why some people might like it as popcorn trash, but it's definitely overrated and deserves little of the praise it gets. And for all the talk of yuri bait, there was little romance so I was disappointed in that too. I guess it might work well as a pleb filter at least but it saddens me that it's so popular on /a/
Eupho is the opposite of "popcorn trash" and "pleb".
But for someone that probably watches fight anime and crap, you don't have the attention span to understand anything, as you've clearly stated in your post.
I don't mind this much, both H!E and PW is overseen by the same guy anyway, and the recently aired episode, the parts without the drama, have a similar feel to the Ruru episode too.
>Phantom world S2
Do you want them to go out of business that badly?
This would be fun, and no where near as bad as PW, but probably still a poor choice
I'd say waifu faggots are ruining KyoAni, but HE has overall better waifus too
Michael Bay films tend to be lacking in production values, the music is nowhere near as good, and 3DPD girls don't fight
How does it feel to be a homosexual?
There is literally nothing homosexual about watching a cute boy crying.
Where's my chuuni S3?
>tries watching Phantom World just for fun
>mfw it's not even fun in the slightest
Maybe it's more appropriate to say their taste in waifus is also terrible. There's no draw at all to PW besides the girls and KyoAni's visual direction, which you can get from their other shows too. That said, the girls are all just caricatures compared to better written characters in their other productions like K-ON or H!E, so I don't see why that's all that drawing either. PW was a snorefest.
You know, the definition of a homosexual individual doesn't mean he doesn't want to have sex with expired, old hags.
You, on the other hand, are a full fledged and literal mother fucker.
The dream is all over a long time ago
Also, this is from the third volume no? I remember the author added in Kumin after he saw her in the anime.
Phantom World is really ruined by its awful cast.
It's still watchable thanks to Kyoani magic, but all their efforts seem wasted considering it's their best animated show since Hyouka, and their worst show since Hyouka at the same time.
Tell me more about it anon
Are you trying to imply that Hyouka is bad? Because if you are then you need to get the fuck out.
No, I just meant that among Kyoani shows that came after Hyouka, Phantom World is the worst. Maybe my wording was a bit awkward. Hyouka is actually my favorite.
Well, the only thing I knew is there's another new girl, that's it.
You can't take any form of high ground when you think dramatic trumpet lesbians is good. I don't care about PW, but ABP was much better than the shit they're chugging out now.
>Koe no Katachi
nice bait, almost caught me out
>With excellent animation, visuals, art direction, music
isn't this every Kyoani show? I thought we established forever ago they have high animation budgets to cover up terrible writing.
>worse than phantom world or amaburi
Amaburi is EASILY Kyoani's weakest show.
Eupho is almost Hyouka levels, That's how good it is.
Not really. I would only consider Nichijou, K-on, Hyouka and Phantom World excellent, visual wise.
Things like Amaburi or Hibike, or their shows before K-on in general, while certainly much better than the average TV anime, aren't really particularly good.
Why can't we all just get along? I liked Phantom World, Amagi and Hibike all just as much. Or well, I certainly didn't dislike any of them. Enjoyed them all very much.
Stop all the hate and start loving instead.
Why would Kyoani give S2 to their biggest mistakes ever?
Back to /v/, most /a/nons love anime, they just like to say you are loving the wrong one
>just as equally
Get some taste faggot, it's ok to like them all but it's clear which are superior. You've just shown yourself as a blind idiot who watches shows with their brain turned off. Euphonium and Hyouka are far far superior shows than the other ones you listed. Think before watching next time
Amaburi would have been nice. It kind of just ended abruptly without anything really happening other than the park making their bottom line.
I honestly dont get the hate for Phantom World at all. A second season might be alright though it doesnt feel like they can really expand on much with a second season and the whole thing would probably get stale quick.
I enjoy Hibike a lot, but of the 3 recent KyoAni shows, it was the one that felt like it actually ended and didnt need to be continued the most. Regardless I am happy for a S2
Phantom World only came out this year
Besides my favorite kyoani anime got a fantastic season 2
Phantom World is a generic '''action''' show that is remembered only for Titty McBigtits and the very blatant limbo scene from Ep. 1, which came out when nothing else good had come out yet that season and /a/ was thirsty for new shows.
Anyone here who doesn't like Rikka please raise your hand
What about the cat-house where the girls turn into cats?
What about the hot springs episode?
What about the one where Haruhiko turns into a small kid and Mai acts like his mom?
Or Enigma turning into his actual mom and kissing him?
Or Ruru turning into a real girl?
Or Ruru and Haruhiko kissing?
This is just off the top of my head there were a lot of fun scenes, even from a purely fanservice point of view
I haven't enjoyed a Kyoani show in years. I would be happy to let them quietly die if they just give me Hyouka S2 with some kind of conclusion to (admittedly mild) romantic tensions and envious friendships.
Well I felt the show was fun and very well animated, even for KyoAni standards, and the characters had depth without being shoved into the audience. Yes the show doesnt really have any lasting merits that make it stand out but people keep expecting everything that KyoAni makes to be masterpieces and then call it shit if its only alright. Musaigen is still better than most action harem shows that come out.
I liked Chu-2 S2 more than S1
S1 had Yuuta as one of the more infuriating and kill joy MCs I've ever seen, and Shinka was a bitch
This was fixed in S2
Sophie was fantastic as well
>What about the hot springs episode?
The only episode that's actually fun.
Everything else were pretty unremarkable.
I don't think I even finished ep3, it was quite evident Kyoani couldn't make anything good out of the pile of shit the original source was
Of course, it just didn't come to mind
I loved this episode, it warms my heart to see her happy, and the phantoms weren't evil spirits who wanted to kidnap or eat a girl, they were just trying to make her happy
It was really good
Shinka grew a lot, especially in the fake Mori Summer episode
Kumin showed that her napping wasn't a joke, it professional level napping
Rikka established herself as Yuuta's girl and succeeded where Sophie failed and managed to keep her powers while keeping Yuuta as well
Yuuta was shown to grow up a lot as well
It was really great, it just focused more on comedy than on forced drama
>phantoms weren't evil spirits
That's the most puzzling part to be honest; all the non-human ones are either malicious or acting like wild beasts except for those bunnies.
Yes, it's fanfic tier edgy. MC has an alternate self who is a demon furry.
Enigma is human looking but she's evil
Even the cat house wasn't all that evil
Actually none of the phantoms were downright evil
Look at the giant pink monkey, he just wanted to relax and lick hot girls, he wasn't a wild beast, he didn't rampage through the school or anything
All phantoms are different
Didn't anyone ever teach you not to judge a book by its cover?
There were a number of phantoms in the PV for instance that didn't make it in the show itself.
Heck, where is the dancing cat-rabbit thing in the OP? Didn't see him in the show either.
What could've been; the shota Haru here looks like a flashback version instead of a detective conan one.
You guys will grow out of being teenagers soon enough
Hibike is a lot sexier than anything in Amaburi or in the few PW episodes I could tolerate.
Which one looks EXACTLY like Koito?
>if you don't enjoy this show aimed at teenagers it means you're a teenager
>if you enjoy it, it means you're an adult
>If you are an adult you aren't allowed to enjoy shows aimed at teenagers
>Implying HE is aimed at adults any more than PW and ABP
>Implying it's not a simple difference in genre
Not him, but you're doing exactly the same, the only difference being that you've replaced "drama", or more in general things adults *usually* enjoy, with "childish" things, and you're labelling anyone who likes the former as a manchild who's only trying to look mature.
Also, I'll have you know that I liked Amagi more than the first season of Hibike, but I still enjoyed the latter and I can't wait to get more drama in the second season.
oh wow daytime /a/ is in full force
>the only difference being that you've replaced "drama", or more in general things adults *usually* enjoy, with "childish" things, and you're labelling anyone who likes the former as a manchild who's only trying to look mature.
I never implied this. I simply prefer comedy shows over drama. That doesn't make me childish. Many adults enjoy comedy and don't like drama.
you should absolutely fuck all the way off until you outgrow trying to distinguish yourself from others based on what cartoon you like.
you've embraced an utterly disgraceful and creatively bankrupt form of amusement. you've already lost the the right to argue that you're better than anyone else here.
the moment you unironically use the phrase mature in an anime discussion you've already revealed that you are a completely clueless child with classic teenage delusion of your own sophistication.
this line of posting can stop right now.
Dude maybe you should go to sleep now
>Hibike has actual, developed characters
I'm not gracing you with one of my super-rare (You)'s
>actual, developed characters
>Hibike has actual, developed characters
Well. I think what we can learn from this is that /a/ is a wonderful place full of respectful people who each hold unique, interesting opinions
that are all fucking wrong.
Where can I find a fairy butt to smell? Asking for a friend.
