I just unboxed my first scale figure and ran into a problem and I'm not sure which solution is best.

I got the hachikuji mayoi figure by good smile company and the connector for one of the backpack straps is too big to fit easily (or snuggly) into the hole.

I'm pretty worried that I might damage the figure if i try and force it in since I have to push at a weird angle, should I sand down the connector since it's not going to be visible? I'm not sure how fragile the rest of the figure is if I try to force it.

Use risers. I have groupings by set, theme, color. The arrangement also depends on the pose and what you want to be viewable to the viewer (ie, how much butt to show for when you rotate your figures to go with a 3/4th view from the rear).

Calm down, I bought her as well and she's not "fucking amazing". It's not the buyers regret that I feared, but she does have her flaws. Her head tilts down somewhat more than the prototype so she has to be on a higher shelf, her tits are so big it makes her small head stand out. Most of all there's the general appearance of her face; her fangs don't stand out as much as the prototype and the eyes can be meh or miss for whoever bought her.
