It has poor pacing, and it doesn't work properly if you end it after Act 5, there are some loose threads.
It may be difficult to adapt the chat logs, that's a challenge I haven't solved. But.

The adaptation would have to have a focus that would make it satisfying to end at Act 5. I'm thinking maybe emphasize daring to let go, give up and put your faith in others. That would lessen the impact of not knowing the conclusion of LE. Put focus on character development. Have fun with trolling the viewers. Like in the end of Act 5, where everything is told through the picture book, tease it as a recap episode in the episode before.
And I'm shivering just at the next episode teaser "next episode: Cascade"

I think it'd be a challenging puzzle to adapt, but if well done, it could end up very, very good.

Even dealing with all the characters. I think developing all the characters properly would be really difficult. You'd really have to use the medium right, tell their personalities through actions, because there's so little time.

I just want to be put in charge of making this anime, I'm thinking about it so much and it's so exciting.

A million dollars is only good enough for one high quality episode or several shit quality episodes.

Where the rooms are kinda merged, and they appear in the same room while talking, while actually just being online, so you see them wandering around their house while talking in person, to the other person who wanders the same house but still at home, because their two houses become one, symbolically?
But then it loses too much of its style, it becomes something completely different, like Lain?

Do multiple episodes without any interaction between characters work? Maybe not, and the chatting is a big part of the character building.

It's hard to solve, and I think I'd want to see it tested in practice before I come to a conclusion.

I said retro style, not retro QUALITY. In fact I'd have the artists draw characters of a huge range of shapes and sizes. Janky movement (like low-framerate animation) would be fine with me so long as I can have crazy abstract architecture, ray guns that look like they're wearing bell bottoms, and ornithopters with actual flapping wings. Kaiba (pic related) is my gold standard here. Maybe you've seen it.

For the language thing, I figured they'd speak Japanese on Arrakis (because most of the action happens there) and English everywhere else. There's no way I'd convince a whole cast of voice actors to learn multiple languages invented specifically for the show, so this is the next best thing.

A boy falls in love with a girl.

Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.

But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.
