I don't miss the American version but I do miss the Japanese version. Why America cut stuff like shadow being alive at the end will forever baffle me.

4kids did the same thing with Kinnikuman Nisei. Cartoon Network did a similar thing with The Big O. Now Adult Swim is doing it with FLCL.
I used to think it was just 4kids doing it one time because autistic kids love Sonic but I'm surprised by how much it's happened.

It's all so banal and childish in retrospect, but looking back it was my first experience with a feelsy moment in anime and anger at the revelation that moments like this get butchered in localization. What a complex emotion.

I remember this show being okay-ish, although that autistic kid that's supposed to be Sonic's human buddy was annoying as fuck.

I dunno, I haven't watched it since like 7 or 8 years ago, but I remember it being pretty heavy handed.
Pretty much the only moment I remember clearly from the show, aside from sonic racing against that nascar driver in the first epsiode.

The only good Sonic adaptation was the OVA

I would've preferred a story without the human insert.

The sonicboom cartoon is actually great though. Quite funny.

But I do miss the theme song of sonic X.
