Your lie in april showed promise, but i despised the still images in the intro and the jokes were very exagerated and bad.
Also, it isn't so sad.

(not op) i realised i should live my life while i have it.
>>147657722
varies person to person, i found it to be the saddest anime i have ever watched, not really sure why but it just hit me like a truck
A few of those.

Watch Clannad or Angel Beats.

>a new sense of what is a good anime
for me the character design and interactions are paramount, then sound design. A series op/ed tend to have most impact.

My post-Sora no Woto depression only got worse when I realized there's no happy ending to this story.
>>147658341
thought it was pretty bad, to be honest
>>147657963
i got clannad spoiled for me so it wasn't as impact as it could have been, angel beats was sad but just didn't compare to Shigatsu for me. Shigatsu just made me depressed for like 2 days and i have no idea why
>>147658537
I hope you don't say it's bad because it's "K-ON in the military"
Because it really isn't
>>147658693
Despite Horiguchi plagiarism, no you're right it's not. It is, however, a complete tonal misfire; jumping from moe cliche to Sartrean musings to Macross pastiche is laughable.
>>147658947
I feel it should have started out moe and got more serious towards the end for a natural progression and catharsis, but it goes back and forth. I still liked the ending though.
>>147658088
kys for hating on Aria
>>147655984
>Shigatsu
Please go back to MAL, shit taste-kun
>>147659280
I'll never stop hating on Aria
Ouron highschool host club.
>>147658947
I thought the shifts in tone were handled pretty decently, the moe wasn't trying too hard to be cute and the darker moments avoided the melodrama that plagued a lot of other dark anime with cute girls. My only gripe with SnW was that they spent way more time building up the world with the slice of life episodes than actually doing something cool with it.
It felt more like a build-up to a season 2 than anything else, but I honestly enjoyed it for what it's worth.

Hard one. Can't really say. I don't even realize I'm mid-escapist fantasy at this point. Probably Clannad. It hurts.

Seen around 80 animes. The only ones that have done this to me are:

Un-go is an unforgettable anime with a unique atmosphere I've been seeking ever since.

Texhnolyze is even more depressing when you're a Hooper fan.
>you began to cut onions
HanTsuki is shit but I was moved by the unexpected ending

Ningen Shikkaku made me think suicide is sometimes acceptable.
But nothing can compare to Saikyou Densetsu Kurosawa. Fucking cried when I heard of the sequel and I wish there was an anime adaptation if Taniuchi ever makes a comeback.
