This is a really bizarre timing. I just started watching it earlier today and finished episode 7. Wish me luck dude. Seems good so far.

It's a bit of an intentionally vague pseudo mindfuck and if I'm honest i felt let down by both the ending and the middle. The beginning is promising enough to make you want to see it through.
I wish I had taken it slower. It's really a slow burn type anime. Anyway people are always watching old anime here so there's nothing weird about it, only fags watch the neo-/a/ shit.

the visuals look blamd, characters are boring, germans speak japanese, german politicians are american and everything is too long winded

I can't really argue with any of this. I think I watched it because at one point it kept getting memed on /a/ and I usually just take what I get because I don't come here so much. I thought it would be better, it was a bit of a letdown.

Its too slow and there was no payoff. It fucking drags on, painfully. Monster is clinically overrated.

I was also personally pissed off by the premise. "I performed life saving surgery on a killer so I'm responsible for killing him, since no other surgeon could possibly have been good enough to save him". Holy fuck, what a shitter, he should have been an orthopod.

Pretty sure that wasn't what Tenma thought but okay. They did waste his character, hr started out as someone human and relatable but turned into this angsty boring faggot somewhere at 2/3 in. The episode where he did the cooking felt like they were trying to recapture that but it didn't do it for me. The climax in Ruhenheim just felt pointless, I didn't even get why those people had to die for that faggots suicide or whatever, it just felt like a typically convoluted Japanese drama at that point. They should have ended it with Johan getting killed by some random 511 Kinderheim kid or something equally banal.

when I was watching it I felt like the last arc was basically what I would have done with the story if I stopped giving a shit and just wanted to end it
