Fuck it i'm gonna take the bait. The difference is while the ideas were in Naruto they weren't executed well, while in part 6 they actually explored those concepts. The relationship between Jolyne and her father is extremely well explored and is actually used to develop Jolyne's character properly.

Further more there are more concepts to part 7 (Since that was brought up earlier) as well instead of just randomly running around and fighting stand users. Concepts and themes, just like the part 6 examples, are brought up and explored in story. Such as what it means to be a true man, the difference of getting what you need as opposed to what you want, the nature of what it means to be good or evil, whether or not a small personal goal is less noble than one that effects the whole world. I could go on about a lot of the themes that were actually explored in some of these parts.

Not to mention that part 8 itself is also more plot orientated than earlier plots and there's more going on than just random battles. The battles aren't even straight up battles in part 8 half the time (like with the Milagro man fight), or there are chapters that straight up don't have any actual battles going on in them (like last chapter). Both examples used being the most recent examples. If you found parts 6 and 7 boring I'm surprised you didn't find part 8 even more boring than them. The writing in Jojo legitimately improves as it goes on and it becomes more than just fighting.

I got into the series over excerps I saw of Part 2. I wasn't disappointed with it since I was so happy with Battle Tendency that it kept me from dropping the series over how mediocre I found parts 1 and 3 to be.
The series didn't return to that level of amazing to me until Stone Ocean and afterwards.

I loved that episode. It's a minor battle, it's not the best, but I just wanted to see them jump around and shouting. And for the baby, it's about Rohan defying the odds and surpassing his luck. He literally says it in the episode, it's not hard to understand. And it's not like Jojo parts aren't full of bullshit moments like this one anyway.

Why do people love D'Arby but hate RPS Kid? It's literally the same thing.

The reason why I like RPS Kid more than D'Arby is RPS Kid is meant to be comedic. It's an incredibly silly and fun part of the story. Jonathan was the definition of a jock with a heart. Dio existed to foil him as someone who had to work for all that he had to give Jonathan the motivation to improve his worth in aspects other than his bloodline. In the JoJo verse, the fact that Dio is the villain and the fact that he ultimately loses in the first 3 parts and is grossly overshadowed by people who are simply genetically better than him in the 2nd part is Araki's way of saying that genes > hard work in the first 3 parts. It's in particular why the story lines of those parts were choppy compared to his later parts where he reverted that line of thought and embraced hard work more than simple blood again.

It's why it's ultimately fitting that DIO steals Jonathan's first kiss with Erina, but IMO Araki didn't go far enough with that plot line, probably in fear of Japanese censors and editors. A Dio-Erina relationship would've been a great way for Araki to show Jonathan improving himself by working out and lawyering up to match the feats of Dio, rather than Jonathan simply having this innate, genetic ability to fuck over Dio and his followers and disciples.
