Tv is fundamentally restrictive, and what censors demand go beyond blocking view of nude parts so its just skip heavy anime, in the vein of berserk anime skipping lost children arc. So BDs wont save it.

As much as I hate to say it, the anime should probably skip over a bunch of the early arcs unless they want to have it be a monster of the week type deal. I liked this manga, until the what's-her-name head priestess said she's half tsukumogami or whatever it's called.

Then it became painfully apparent Kiriha is going to win. That ruins not only the suspense of the current twist - which, considering what genre it is, isn't even all that surprising, it's not like anyone believed she'd stay dead - but also any other potential relationship development. Sunao win never.

I hate this kind of limbo. If you take course on a specific end, you should at least build that relationship, instead of putting it on a forced hiatus.

Also I'm really not fond of the complete change in cast. It's just Kiriha that's gone - in that case it's alright to use that opportunity to move the focus onto new characters, but for the love of God, do not throw all the old cast under the bus. Classmates, shrine staff, Sunao - pick one of these groups and make them the "constant" in the new arc.

It might be nitpicking, but that one simple complaint is what ruined the show for me. There's a limit to how much blueballing I can endure.
