Perhaps because Magi is the first shonen to abandon the classical narrative structure of shonen manga. (For example, the problems do not always appear when the characters arrive, we always know in advance that there are problems). Or maybe because Magi is really the first shonen with a choral narrative. Or maybe because it is the first shonen to introduce themes and arguments that no one else has ever treated (shonen). And there would be other things to say.
