It lacks charm. The story is a Mirai Nikki ripoff and comes with all the shortcomings it entails. Characters are bland and forgettable. Even the art is bad compared to DN and Bakuman. Why does this exist?

The only reason why Death Note worked is because they embodied the edge while passing it off as Cop drama / suspense. Every after that was part interesting but full of huge fucking flaws, like the cliche manga premise despite their tone of more realistic manga. They might as well gone full Seo on Bakuman, would of been more interesting and gritty.
