Would it be worth Buying a VCR or Laserdisc Player JUST to watch 80s & 90s Anime on?
Dumb frogposter. Kill yourself

unless it's for an anime that never got a high quality release you can DL right now, then no. For VCR fuck no.

Is a VCR that much worse than a Laser disc Player? I've never owned either.

You've gotta be 18 to post on 4chan
Dubs

Yes. LD can still look okay, vhs degrades really rapidly and stores like shit over the years.

>people born in 1998 can post on /a/
>by the time they were 10 it was 2006
Laserdisc I understand. Nobody had that shit, but it's perfectly understandable that someone posting on /a/ never had a VCR.

Also, you can get a VCR from your local Goodwill for like $5. Or you can come take mine after I fix my fukken life.

>vhs degrades really rapidly
I've got VHS tapes from the 90s that look as good as their DVD counterparts. I think degradation is caused by shitty VCRs isn't it?

Fuck off.

Curb our autism. Either contribute to the topic or don't.

It's caused by pour storage, low quality our damaged/worn VCRs, and general wear and tear. Because the tape had to actually be moved through the VCR to be played it's worn just a bit more each time you watch it.
VHS is not a good storage medium and wasn't meant to be long term.
