How did they fuck up a Devil May Cry anime?

I remember vaguely watching this at age 13. How did they fuck it up?

A good DMC anime that brings out the atmosphere and action of the games would require immensely talented staff.

No good action scenes, Dante is overpowered and finishes all enemies too quickly. And the final fight is off-screened right as he devil triggers for some fucking reason. Also much monster-of-the-week so overall story is really weak.

>Dante is overpowered and finishes all enemies too quickly.
Doesn't this all depend on how you play him in the games?I've only got to play 3 and 4, but I guess video game franchises have ruined themselves in less sequels. I never really remembered Dante getting his shit pushed in
>And the final fight is off-screened right as he devil triggers for some fucking reason.
>final fight is off-screened
Jesus H. Christ why does any creator think this a good idea ever? Its sad how often this bullshit happens and never once does it turned out satisfying for the viewers

by making a devil may cry anime, donĀ“t get me wrong, i like the games, but most of us play just to beat the ever living crap out of demons and the story comes in a 2nd place, meanwhile in the anime we need a little more than just that

>Dante is overpowered and finishes all enemies too quickly
Uh, yeah? You realize he's literally just fucking around in every game right?

At least he's entertaining to watch in cutscenes. The anime makes him look half-asleep most of the time and everything dies from a couple of gun shots. It's like watching somebody play on Heaven or Hell mode but Dante still has normal levels of health.
A monster-of-the-week formula is a good idea for a DMC show, though. Make it like Garo where Dante spends part of an episode looking for a demon, then they have a big crazy fight at the end. The Devil Trigger could even be a henshin he busts out for boss-like opponents.
Not cuhrayzee enough.
