going to give an analysis of the rebuild series.

Lets start with Rebuild 1.0/1.11, basically to veterans of the series things are roughly the same with the only difference being the character rei, which has center stage in this rebuild from (1.0 - 2.0). This mainly can be seen in a few different scenes but much is obscured. The main scene which is different besides the new animation and lack of laser curvature is the end scene of the rebuilds. In the original series, when shinji told rei to smile, she thought gendo which led to her smiling, however, in the rebuilds she smiles on her own accord, in response to shinji. A good thing to note in the fiirst movie is the music player that shinji holds in his hands

Rei is always best, dont care about Anno's explanation about complexes or stuff.
Either you like a character or you dont, who cares.

So just watched all rebuilds and am apparently one of the few people who really likes Rebuild.
Not saying that like it more then original, well rebuild is more about action so cant really compare.

Also one of the few who likes even Rebuild 3 cause it totally goes about 'Shinji you have fucked off' but not only with a bit of 'you killed some few humans or some town but we will forgive you' but 'you destroyed nearly the world and we all fucking hate you now'.

Basically the pure anger and hate they had on him was kinda human.
Unbelievable stupid but oh so human.
Cause he is the big shit who destroyed nearly the world and created thousands of problems, starvation and tons of their friends died, all because of him and now he is finally awake.
They can finally express their anger at him.

I mean is that really that unbelievable that they absolutely dont want to see his face anymore or if they were longer in the room with him felt like strangeling him and because of that basically isolate him?

I personally think the characterizations in the Rebuilds are trash. It's like the excised everything that made everyone interesting or compelling and replaced it with shitty fanservice. Rei is even more of a nothing doll, Asuka becomes a one-dimensional turbocunt (instead of just a regular cunt), Shinji becomes a genuinely cowardly piece of mindbroken shit and Kaworu is just there for cryptic exposition. The only people who could possibly like the Rebuilds more than the original series and EoE are waifufag otaku who value merch and fanservice over consistent and compelling narrative. Oh, wait...

It's shouldn't be a carbon copy, but it should replace their characterization with SOMETHING if it's trying to be a retelling or a different take on the series.

Removing all of the character depth and expecting people to simply understand their characters according to the original's portrayal completely defeats the purpose of a remake.

I like 3.0. But Misato bothers me the most, she was the one yelling at Shinji at the end of 2.0 to go and pilot the Eva to fulfill his own wish but then she's the one giving him the cold shoulder 14 years later for the clusterfuck that she encouraged him to cause. Not saying that it's an unnatural way to react (quite the opposite in fact) but it's incredibly immature.

the only reason why misato encouraged him was because she didnt know that that will cause the third impact. In the rebuild, misato doesnt know that rei was a vessel of lilith and in turn that caused the third impact. The misato in 2.0 just thought that rei was a normal girl and that shinji finally found somebody to love in turn making misato shouting for shinji to save rei. What i didnt understand was that why in 3.0, was why they didnt explain anything to him the moment he woke up and just treated him like shit. It's not like he knew that he knew that he single handily almost caused the third imoact and almost wiping out the whole remainder of humanity just because he wanted to save the one he loved.
