To clarify about alola forms:
They're basically adding in actual evolution now rather than just metamorphosis that's just called evolution. Alolan forms aren't all recolors and they're are some physical differences aside from coloration. They also ALL have type differences from the originals. Some are just flout different (Type)s and some like the dual types have one same type and one different type or just flat out two different types.
