From what I can gather, the worlds were already merging and the Progress were gathered together to fight and hone their Exceed against each other and master their Exceeds to release energy to stop the worlds from merging.

Later, the Ouroboros showed up and were like "The whole end of the world shit is hot. Let's get in the Progress's way so they can't stop it" and they did. The more time the Progress spent facing the Ouroboros, the quicker the world ended.

It's also possible that the Ouroboros appearing were a direct consequence of the world ending and their job is to speed it up.

Saya is a backstabbing bitch stealing Amane's sex tomodachis.

Out of all the corrupted Progress, Sofina and Carene+Xenia were the ones that got the closest to actually destroying a World Crystal. Sofina was a natural EXR and Carene+Xenia were two natural SRs that fused into a EXR.

Ramiel was a lone natural SR but at least she got farther than Eins in that she was at least close to the World Crystal. The World Crystal wasn't even shown when it was Eins turn.

Anyways, from all accounts, the characters rank before the whole corruption incident seems to actually matter, with Hinata being an exception because she was in bad condition. Does anyone think Aoi, a natural SR, is going to even be moderately threatening at this point? Unless Aoi has some serious skeletons in the closet she's been hiding, I'm guessing she'll be cleared in one episode to make way for a new threat.

I think I finally understand why I like this show so much. It's because it feels like the kind of stupid shit that I would write with a bunch of other autistic anons if we were given the chance to do an anime plot for shits and giggles. Stella having a fucklong drag race, the UC-team getting ambushed while bathing, and a bunch of other cool bells and whistles pulled out of a ton of different anime for the sake of fucking around. I don't know, that could be a feature not flaw. What we know of her exceed is that it's good for defense, has a timer, and can unleash nuke. We don't know the exact criteria required to active the nuke, we don't know why it has a timer, we don't really know how her exceed works.

Though we do know that while her shield can take anything, how long will she last depends on her physical strength. If she can't hold her ground like Elel then taking her out wouldn't be hard. But Nya is durable as fuck, I don't think any kind of one shot could take her out.
