Mushishi I don't think I could watch more than once. Ergo Proxy was good for one for me anyways. Fullmetal was once too. DTB and FATE as well. Bebop I can rewatch anytime same with Space Dandy. Perhaps I'm too old but something with some comedy seems to do best for me. Casshern Sins I could never watch more than once. Something like Konosuba or Ixion Saga sure I'll watch it again.

I don't really get how you can watch it more than once. It's good because it has shock and randomness value that is lost on repeat viewings. Rather, in terms of construction and writing it's actually really bad, but how bizarrely the show progresses makes it prime weekly entertainment. Sure /a/ shitstorms are great, but they don't happen while you're rewatching the show.

If anything I feel a repeat viewing would make me feel even more critical of it from a production and directorial standpoint.

As far as twists go, you can try to see whether there was subtle foreshadowing of them that you might have missed the first time around. Or hints whose significance you didn't fully grasp, but which you might see in a new light knowing what happens.
If that doesn't help, enjoy the music and the (hopefully) pretty animation?
