I'm mad at the lack of HAI-YO in this episode. There were two moments that could have used it, once when Guts charged through the blob and stabbed Mogus, and the other when he was fatally wounding Mogus.

I always assumed Guts didn't really much stronger compared to how he was at the end of Golden Age, but that he just picked up some new gear and tricks.
It's already been shown he could take on Wyald and other apostles with his old broken sword, a dagger and/or a horn, and he defeated the pig/dog as soon as he picked up the Dragonslayer without having to train with it. Every other improvement he's gotten since GA is getting new gear, not really a physical improvement

The voice acting in this show is so fucking bad. It feels so ham and not in a good way. On one hand it may be because of the fucking atrocious sound design, or another it might just be the really shitty director.

Hiroaki Iwanaga sounds like a big dumb lug with barely any personality or emotion. He just screams in his deepest voice possible. Nobutoshi Canna has so much more personality and has a sort of smug confidence to him which is a lot more fitting to Guts.

The models do not blend with the 2d at all and even barring that the models just don't look great by 3d model standards. I've seen this same story told better, in the fucking work this series is being adapted from.

The word for Hawk in Japanese can also be interpreted as falcon. Seeing as how the arc is called Falcon of the Millenium Empire and the city is called Falconia, the translation group probably just brought it upon themselves to call it band of the falcon. Same reason some groups call Guts Gatsu and other such mistranslations as it were. I personally will always call it band of the hawk cause it rolls off the tongue better, but to each their own.
