Tatsuya, Miyuki and the third years face off against the UK forces defending the man made island.
Honoka gets caught in the middle of an explosion and her arm and leg are blown off, but Tatsuya goes to save her at Miyuki's request. Honoka is saved, but the team is defeated and Miyuki is taken prisoner. Tatsuya snaps and goes after their ship. He uses a version of Baryon Lance in this fight that doesn't require his Trident. Instead he uses it with the thought controlled CAD and his Silver Trace, which lets him summon spears of light to his hand. He kills everyone on board including Jasmine who was an unregistered SCM and saves Miyuki, then he faces off against William who comes to back up Jasmine. William is defeated and decomposed as Tatsuya holds his hand to his face. In the cockpit a UK/Aus official contacts Tatsuya and warns him that what he is doing is an act of aggression. Tatsuya reminds them that they attacked first and he merely retaliated with the necessary force. They keep arguing back and forth until Tatsuya calls himself Mahesvara, subtly threatening the general and tells him to not dare go after his family again. The com is cut and the two get picked up. Later it's revealed that the skirmish on board and their exchange of words was recorded and leaked on the net. With Tatsuya's identity and exploits in Okinawa revealed to the public JSDF has no choice but to formally declare him their new SCM. Reactions from New Soviet and USNA (Lina). Volume ends with Tatsuya leaving for school on his first day of his third year.

Seems like Mayumi has really gained ground in the last 2 years. Miyuki hasn't grown as a heroine and frankly she's quite boring. Her scenes aren't engaging and she does very little to contribute to the plot. She is mostly a sit-back character that just waits for her onii-sama to take care of everything. Her design isn't bad but nothing special. Mayumi arguably has more sex appeal because she's petite and curvy. It really depends on taste though, I find Kyouko to be the sexiest personally.
